Preacher: Bishop David .O. Oyedepo
You need God’s leading to make the most of your adventure on earth.
The Holy Ghost is the wind; when He leads, He leads into the realm of glory and honour. Hence, God’s leading is highly profitable. When He leads, your journey becomes easy. When you follow the leading of God and not man, you ride high in life.
Can you prosper or stay healthy without the Word of God?
No!
That’s why You need His Word to direct you. God’s surest guide is His Word (Psalm 119:105).
The Bible is the most reliable guide of life! Just like a sheep, you will always need a shepherd no matter how mature you become (Psalm 100:3).
Vision defines the destination, divine direction dictates the steps required to get there (Numbers 9:15-23). Before you can hear God’s voice, you must first do His Word. It is by doing His Word that He opens your ears to hear Him.
Enthronement is your portion in redemption but it will take divine direction to actualize your destiny in life. Knowing “HOW” to get to where you are going is far more vital than knowing “WHERE” you are going. Any vision without the complement of divine direction will suffer frustration. Allow God to lead you and your destination is sure (Isaiah 48:17).
Following divine direction is a choice. Divine direction may not sound well by human considerations, but that is the way to go. Stop appraising God’s leading with your intellect, His leading is above all forms of human reasoning. Allow God to lead you; He never leads backward, He only leads forward. God’s leading is ever interesting and refreshing. Your commitment to following God is what qualifies you for His leading.
Wonders of Divine Direction
1. Every believer has a glorious destiny (Romans 8:29-30, Revelation 5:12).
Everyone that is justified by the blood of Jesus is justified to be glorified.
2. Every believer is ordained to reign on the earth (Genesis 17:5-7).
You belong to royalty, not slavery or servitude. Ignoring God’s leading can be very costly; it brings seasons of affliction (Jonah 2:10, Jeremiah 2:15-17).
You are not down because the world is down, you are down because you don’t have the light that keeps you up in a dark world. You cannot have light and be stopped by darkness. Every door that Jesus opens cannot be shut (Revelation 3:7-8).
You cannot triumph in the Kingdom by tricks. Walking in the truth causes you to triumph always and in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).
The master key to a world of open doors is your love for God (1 John 1:16). As you grow in love, you are filled with the fullness of God’s presence and no one can stop your way forward (1 John 3:18, Ephesians 3:17-18, John 14:21).
To Secure Open Doors One Must;
1. Be born again and remain so.
2. Walk in the fear of the Lord.
3. Lay hold on the right Word concerning the doors you want to see opened.
4. Remain in love with God.
5. Be committed to following God’s leading (Proverbs 3:5-6; 14:12)
6. Enter into a covenant to keep serving God and the interest of His Kingdom (Acts 12:10).
