Topic: Unveiling the Mystery of Financial Fortune in the Kingdom (Part 4A)
Speaker: Bishop David Oyedepo
Don’t be tired of God’s instructions if you are not tired of His blessings. When you stop serving God, the blessings of service stop in your life.
Your place is not secure until you give God the first place. Until you give God His space, there is no space for you.
Three channels from which financial fortune flows:
- Your thoughts
- Your utterances/words
- Your actions/works

1. Your Thoughts
Proverbs 23:7: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Romans 10:12: For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
2 Corinthians 10:3 – 6: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds 😉
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
You can’t think of lack and experience prosperity. If your thoughts contradict God’s prosperity agenda, you can’t experience His riches.
Philippians 4:8: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
2. Your Words
Psalms 34:12-13: What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Psalms 35:27: Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Proverbs 13:2: A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
Proverbs 18:20: A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
What you say with your mouth today is what you see tomorrow!
Mark 11:23: For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith
Proverbs 13:3: He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
Many people’s seeds have suffered a lot from drought because of the wrong words. One way to tame your tongue is by being filled with thanksgiving. Keep saying what God says and what you want to see in your life, till it manifests in your life.
3. Your work
Psalms 1:3: And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Ecclesiastes 5:9: Moreover, the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field.
Genesis 24:63: And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
Divine ideas flow through meditation and inspiration as engendered by the Holy Spirit and the ministry of teaching prophets.
One major benefit of your covenant practice is the fruit of your labor. God provides your daily bread by showing you what to do. God will bless every business that brings about legitimate earnings.
Slothfulness is a curse; free yourself from it!

Enemies of Financial Fortune to Watch Against
1. Beware Of Money Worship
Exodus 30:31-32: And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.
Upon man’s flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.
2. Beware of waste
Proverbs 18:9: He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
John 6:12: When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
3. Beware Of Covetousness
Joshua 7:19-26: And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.
And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:
When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.
So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.
And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD.
And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.
And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.
And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.
Luke 12:15: And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
4. Beware Of a Non-Chalant Attitude Towards Kingdom Promotion
Malachi 4:1-2: For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
- Beware of financial impropriety (including fraud, scams, and stealing)
Covenant Day of Settlement Ministration
– As a child of God, you are not permitted to suffer beyond a while.
2 Corinthians 4:17: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
Any affliction or setback of long continuance is a curse, but Christ has redeemed you from the curse of the law and made a covenant of settlement with you.
Covenant Responsibilities to Enjoy Settlement
1. Be born again
Matthew 11:28-29: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
2. Demand for your settlement in Christ
Psalms 56:9: When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me
3. Enter into a covenant to serve God and the interest of His Kingdom.
2 Chronicles 15:12-15: And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.
2 Chronicles 15:19: And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
4. Engage in a lifestyle of praise.
Isaiah 54:1-4: Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
