Topic: Engaging the Turnaround Power of Faith (Pt. 1A)
Speaker: Bishop David Oyedepo
Faith comes from hearing and hearing from God. Nothing builds your faith like hearing from God through His Word.
You don’t lose any battle with faith; it has the capacity to quench all the fiery darts of the devil.
There is no irreversible case with faith; it can bring anything dead back to life.
Many hang their faith on others, but this should not be the case. It is to every one according to their faith.
Faith is fake if it lacks proofs!
A good report is the only biblical validation of faith because faith is a factory of good reports.
Whenever faith comes alive, victory comes along.
Faith does not grow by wishing or prayer but by insight in the Word.
The deeper your insight, the stronger your faith becomes.
Faith is a personal responsibility you must take.
Jude 1:20: But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost
Rom. 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The deeper the understanding of the truth, the stronger your faith becomes.
You can’t grow faith by ONLY attending services; you will starve your faith to death that way.
Stop wishing your faith grows!
Stop hanging on to the faith of your pastors!
Put in the work to grow your faith!
You don’t grow faith by the laying on of hands.
You grow your faith by engaging in an undying quest for light.
Light and insight are the master builders of faith.
Very great faith empowers believers to do exploits.
All the categories of faith feed on the Word to deliver.

Dimensions Of Faith
1. Little faith
– This faith cannot stand the storms of life.
Matt. 8:26: And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
2. Great faith.
Matt. 15:28: Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
3. Very great faith
– This faith empowers believers to do exploits.
Matt. 8:10: When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
4. The Spirit of faith
– Also known as the supernatural faith.
All these dimensions of faith need to feed on the Word of God to deliver.
What Is Faith?
- Faith is obeying God to prove that you believe Him so as to commit Him to confirm His Word in your life.
James 2:22: Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
- Faith is reasoning with God in the light of His Word to discover what to do for His promises to be actualised in your life. –
1 Tim. 4:13-15: Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
Heb. 4:2: For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
- Faith is not waiting for God to work but putting God’s Word to work to commit Him to make good His promise.
Luke 6:26: Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
The stronghold of faith is obedience. It is your obedience that perfects your faith.
The Word you don’t put to work will never deliver in your life.
The stronghold of faith is obedience. It is your obedience that perfects your faith.
The Word you don’t put to work will never deliver in your life.
Persecution is part of the experiences of a believer.
Believing all things from the Word sometimes makes you look like a heretic, but until you stop yourself, no one can stop you.
Don’t stop moving in obedience to keep seeing God’s hand upon your life.
Acts 24:14: But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets
We are a family of faith!
We trade faith here!
We have the winning faith and a faith that never loses battles!

How Powerful Is Faith?
- Faith secures the hand of God at will.
Isaiah 53:1: Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
Isaiah 14:24,27: The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand
For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
– It brings God’s hand to bear in your life for your desired victory and turnaround.
- Faith provokes divine intervention whenever required.
Matt. 9:27-29: And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
Mark 2:5: When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
– It makes God see beyond your errors and mistakes.
- Faith draws on the power of God to accomplish the impossible.
Luke 8:40-48: And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.
And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:
For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.
And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
– Nothing in the world can stand the power of God and faith allows you to tap into that realm.
- Faith commits God’s integrity to confirm His Word.
Titus. 1:3: But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
Heb. 6:18: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
– If you believe in God’s Word, He will bring it to pass in your life!
How To Keep Your Faith Growing
- Through hearing and understanding the Word of God.
Rom. 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- Through meditating on the Word.

Ps. 119:97-100: O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
