Prayer and fasting are the platform for stirring God’s wonders in one’s life.
Without a kingdom connection, a believer has no future.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
Define your Kingdom dream to secure your glorious destiny. “And he said to them, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and the one who knocks will have the door opened to him.” (Luke 11:1-5)
People without Kingdom dreams don’t last.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you willbe able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2).

Is this what you call a fast, a day acceptable to the Lord? Is it not to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to set the oppressed free and to break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and to provide the homeless with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry out, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’
“If you remove the yoke from among you, cease pointing the finger, and speaking evil— If you offer yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your gloom will become like midday. The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in times of drought, and strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring whose water never fails. And they will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will raise up the foundations of generations past; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets to Live In.” (Isaiah 58:6-14)
Focus on spiritual renewal in this prayer and fasting season; it will impact all areas of your life.
When you engage with God, He rewards you above all you can ask for or think.
“For God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20).
God’s rewards cover all your needs, known and unknown, but your requests only target what you know.
The Fundamental Blessings of Prayer and Fasting
Spiritual renewal is the core return from the altar of prayer and fasting. (Isaiah 58:6-14).
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, zealous for good works.” (2 Timothy 2:19-21).
- When your spirit is renewed, you can say no to sin.
Spiritual empowerment. (Isaiah 58:16).
“My son, do not forsake the teaching of your father, and do not reject the instruction of your mother: for they will be a graceful ornament on your head, and a chain around your neck.” (Proverbs 1:23).
- You are not empowered for show but for service. The more disposed you are to service, the more empowered you become.
Outbreak of revelation. (Isaiah 58:8).
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” See, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness shall shroud the peoples, but the Lord will rise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:3-4).
- Get materials related to your area of interest and position yourself for an outbreak of light.
Health, strength, and vigor. (Isaiah 58:8).
- Most sicknesses are a direct oppression of the devil, but when light breaks forth, darkness vanishes and your health will naturally spring forth.
Express answers to prayers. (Isaiah 58:9).
“The Lord has called me from the womb; from my mother’s body he has named my name.” (Isaiah 49:1-2)
Continual guidance that terminates dry seasons in your life. (Isaiah 48:21).
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverbs 14:12).
Locate his direction for your life and follow suit.
- When you follow God’s leading, only goodness and mercy shall follow you.
Supernatural breakthroughs. (Isaiah 58:14).
“The things of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. For we have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.” (1 Corinthians 2:9).
- To sustain breakthroughs in your life, you must remain in love with God.
