The Bible is the most reliable guide and GPS of life; it is not a history book. Hence, it is important to know how to be led by the dictates of the word because understanding how God leads is crucial to making the most of our adventures in life.
“And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.” Isaiah 48:21.
You cannot miss your steps following the dictates of God’s Word. God’s leading puts you above all prevailing situations and circumstances. His leading is what defines your environment, it is not your environment that defines His leading.
“And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:” Genesis 26:2.
Behind the events of the life of a believer is God’s leading.
“Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he spoiled?”
“The young lions roared upon him, and yelled, and they made his land waste: his cities are burned without inhabitant.”
“Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes have broken the crown of thy head.”
“Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?” Jeremiah 2:14 – 17.
“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:”
“That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!” Isaiah 30:1 – 2.
“That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!”
“Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.” Isaiah 30:2 – 3.
“And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:” Deuteronomy 28:13.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
“That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16 – 17.
Ignorance of God’s ways can be costly!
The Bible is the ultimate guidebook of life. If you diligently hearken to the instructions it carries, God will set you above all limitations.
What Makes the Bible a Most Reliable Guide?
1. It contains the light of life.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
“The same was in the beginning with God.”
“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”
“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:1 – 5.
“Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.” Acts 5:20.
The light of life shows you the way to go in every aspect of life.
“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.” Luke 10:17.
2. The Spirit of life.
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63.
“Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.” Isaiah 34:16.
The Spirit of God does not only show you the way to go, He also shows you how to go. He empowers us to do what he shows us.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14.
3. The voice of God.
“The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.”
“The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.”
“The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.”
“He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.”
“The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire.”
“The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.”
“The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.” Psalms 29:3 – 9.
“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” Isaiah 55:1.
“For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.” Deuteronomy 15:6.
The voice of the Lord that guides the way forward is in the book.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,”
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,”
“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” Hebrews 1:1 – 3.
The word is Jesus, and he’s speaking to us by his word today!
The voice of God that guides and directs is in the Word. Engaging in the instructions of the Scriptures makes one wise, and can make a star out of any believer.
“But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.”
“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:”
“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.”
“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” 2 Peter 1:9, 19 – 21.
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” Revelation 22:16.
“As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.” John 17:18.
There is a star in you by redemption; all you need to do is take heed to the Word.
What Are the Requirements for Being Led?
1. Be born again.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 8:14, 6:23.
To access divine guidance, you must be born again. Until one is born again, he has no life and cannot be led.
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” 1 John 5:11 – 12.
2. Be clothed with meekness.
“The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.” Psalms 25:9.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Matthew 11:28 – 29.
You cannot walk in the ways of God without possessing a meek spirit; it takes meekness to be guided.
What the Bible says will stand the test of time any day, anytime, anywhere!
It takes meekness to be guided.
“But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.” 1 Peter 3:4.
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18.
Get to the bible to seek directions, not information.
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13.
“Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.” Proverbs 4:13.
Covenant Day of Rescue Ministration
By redemption, we have been translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light.
“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;” Hebrews 2:3.
Our salvation is the great escape from the kingdom of darkness.
“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:” Ephesians 5:8.
Salvation is the master key to your rescue!
Every child of God is a child of light because light begets light.
“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5.
You cannot be held hostage by the power of darkness if you put on the armour of light. Word-docile believers are always subject to oppression. Be armed with Scriptures that will establish your dominion over the powers of darkness. Darkness cannot stand in the way of light.
“When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.” Luke 8:28.
Your access to light is the only way to be set free from the power of darkness.
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”
“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1 – 2.
It is the entrance of the Word that gives light; you need prompt response to access the light of God’s Word.
“Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.”
“While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.” John 12:35 – 36.
“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Matthew 4:10.
The entrance of the word is what gives light; you must be armed with “it is written.”
“Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.” John 12:35.
The spirit of God doesn’t only enlighten us but also empowers us with the light that keeps us above the harassment of the powers of darkness.
“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?” Matthew 24:45.
“Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?”
“But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.”
“And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.” Isaiah 49:24 – 26.
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17.
It’s our heritage to condemn anything against our glorious destiny for God to confirm.
There is hope for you because the price for your escape has been fully paid!
