The bible is a book of mystery and it’s unsearchable. It is more current than the latest news.
There is no human access to the bible without the help of the Holy Spirit. The wisdom content of the bible cannot be found in the land of the living.
12 But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
13 Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living. Job 28:12 -13.
The secret things belong to God, the deep things of God are only accessible by the Holy Spirit.
49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute. Luke 11:49.
Access is only guaranteed by the help of the Holy Spirit, which begins with salvation.
Without the help of the Holy Spirit, we have limited insight.
12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. John 6:12
God’s word is the wisdom of God in print. When you access the light and engage the light then, you are wise. Kings reign by wisdom, hence you are on your way to the throne.
The Bible is heaven’s wisdom bank that shows the way to go and how to go about it. The wisdom of scriptures will always create a future when engaged with them. The word is always too simple to the eyes of the natural man to be true. If you don’t engage with it, you won’t get results, you engage without the right content, you won’t get results.
People will always be amazed at the wisdom of God in your life, and putting the word to work will make you a wonder to your world.
The wonders of the mystery of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a mystery of the kingdom loaded with wonders for the redeemed. God answers Thanksgiving prayers faster than He does intercession and supplication.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23.
When we give God thanks for what he has done, we remind Him of all that remains.
This year will end with wonders for you, every incomplete blessing shall be completed in your life! Amen!
Prayer is seeking God whereas praise and thanksgiving are like God seeking us. In these concluding days of this year, God will look for you! Amen!
Thanksgiving qualifies you for more. To be thankless is to be frustrated.
1It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night. Psalms 92:1, 2.
Count your blessings, not your troubles, and God will keep showering more upon your life.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Acts 16:25 – 30.
Every genuine Thanksgiving usually graduates into praise; thankfulness always sets the pace for praise.
3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding. Psalms 49:3.
A David danced to the Lord with all his might.
14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. 2 Samuel 6:14.
To bless God is to be thankful to Him. Every genuine Thanksgiving usually graduate to praise and praise is manifested largely by songs and dance. A songless tongue is thankless, and a dance-less leg is a result of a thankless heart. You can’t claim to be happy with God and be thankless in your tongue. For every believer who is loaded with joy, there is a song on their tongue. Your voice may be off-key but if your heart is melodious, God will be celebrating in Heaven.
God is behind the good things in our lives, and a man can receive nothing except it is from above.
By coveting someone else’s property, you’re not wise. Instead of coveting material things, covet spiritual things. The bible says “To be carnally minded is death and to spiritually minded is life.”
The beauty of the man is not in the clothes he wears but in the quality of life, he lives. There’s nothing on earth that God doesn’t have in heaven.
What is Thanksgiving?
- Acknowledging God as the one doing good things in our lives.
- Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17.
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. John 3:27
7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? 1 Corinthians 4:7.
Most of the time people are consumed with things they desire and require that they forget to thank God for what they have. There is no one good thing that you can’t see God behind it, which is why you and I owe God thanks.
Don’t be consumed by covetousness.
15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Luke 12:15.
We must begin to ask ourselves critical genuine questions so that we can keep amplifying and celebrating God’s goodness. The goodness of God is the reason we enjoy the blessings of life.
- It is a celebration of the act of God in our lives.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Psalm 103:2.
The doings of God are marvelous in our eyes so we must never trivialize them. Many of us go out every single day and do not suffer one accident, is that not a wonder of God?
18 Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. Isaiah 8:18.
If you look intricately into your life, you will see the wonders of God despite your errors.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch. Zechariah 3:8.
You must give thanks to the Lord for where you are currently. You go into captivity when you’re not thankful
Every prayer God answers should not be exchanged for another prayer rather, it should be exchanged for Thanksgiving. Every act of God must be exchanged for the gratitude of men.
- It is ascribing glory to God.
13 O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.
14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
15 Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the Lord? let it come now.
16 As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
17 Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil. Jeremiah 17:13-17.
The glory that belongs to God is poisonous for men, you can’t swallow His glory and survive it. Remember your current position is somebody else’s prayer point, what we have as our manifestation today is somebody else’s expectation tomorrow. No matter what your position is, where you are is somebody else’s prayer point.
For instance, the things that we consider as needs do not make sense to mad people. God has been so good to us, we are the products of God’s grace and goodness.
God does not have a problem with your expectations, but He demands appreciation to fulfil your next expectation.
We owe God thanks, deep-rooted thanks!
- It is recounting God’s kindness in our lives.
O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; Psalms 105:1 – 5.
7 I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. Isaiah 63:7.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 1 John 3:1 – 3.
Do you know how many battles were won without your knowledge? Do you know how many times the enemy targeted you but could not reach you because of the loving-kindness of God?
We are winning without even knowing because of the loving kindness of God.
4 For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. Psalm 92:4.
As you genuinely give thanks, everything dying or dead will come back!
- It is appreciating God for the present situation to secure a testimony.
39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. John 11:39 – 44.
When the matter is toughest, then it’s time for thanks. Thanksgiving is the overturning weapon that turns situations around.
When Thanksgiving graduates to praise, the stage for the supernatural is set.
11 Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Exodus 15:11
5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. Psalms 67:5 – 7.
When we engage in high praises we invoke judgment on our enemies. Hence, every child of God has the opportunity to destroy the camp of their enemies through high praise.
Thanklessness is a risk, its consequences are below;
1. It can turn one’s glory into shame.
2. It can stop one’s way forward.
Thanksgiving guarantees our way forward. When you’re thankful, you keep changing levels. Whatever you’re praying for, God has heard, the bridge to get there is Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is the will of God. When you’re not thankful, you put God off in the matters of your life. Your Thanksgiving will always be acceptable.
Your Thanksgiving never run dry!
