Thanksgiving is one of the mysteries of the kingdom ordained for our Flourishing especially in hard times.
Thanksgiving is a choice, it’s not a gift
Psalm 139:14
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
As individuals, we must learn to be thankful
We are told we are made up of 78 major organs, how many of your organs are not working?
So why should you and I not be thankful?
Do you know that your heart beats 115,000 times every day?
God has kept your heart beating since you were born, multiply with your age and see how many times God has kept your heart
To be ungrateful is to be a great fool and those who are grateful always end up great.
Psalm 34:1
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
If you have lost anything, know that God is the reason why you have not lost everything
Thanksgiving is the glue that firmly attach your blessing to you.
Why must we be thankful?
Luke 17:17
17 And Jesus answering said, were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
1. God deserves and demands our Thanksgiving
God is waiting for your thanksgiving for putting breath on your nostrils, food on your table and the list goes on and on
2. Life both physical and spiritual is a gift, that you lay on the bed by yourself is a gift of God, let’s begin to focus on the giver.
3. It preserves, multiplies and perfects the blessing of God upon our life
If you don’t want the blessing of God to be corrupted, give God thanks.
One thing you cannot succeed in doing around God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo is murmuring and complaining.
Often times, you hear Him say Thank you Jesus!
How thanksgiving enhance Flourishing in hard times?
1. Thanksgiving provokes continuous flow of fresh oil which makes us to flourish in and out of season
Psalm 92:10-13
10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
2. thanksgiving provokes our Flourishing in hard times
3. A life of joy and rejoicing which turns to supernatural strengthening
John 4:32-34
32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
34 Jesus saith unto them, my meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
No matter your private situation, don’t loose your joy
You look different when you smile, you become more attractive when you smile.
4. To be thankful is to see the prophetic word come to pass.
