Christianity will not be any different from any other religion without the power base.
It is prayer that gives value to fasting. If you can no longer pray, stop the fast!
Prayer and fasting is the covenant companion of every believer.
Prayer and fasting is about “when ye fast”, not “if ye fast.” – Matt. 6:6, 17-18
Don’t just be religiously seated in the church, find a place for God’s agenda in your life. – John 1:12
There should be a thirst of the soul and longing of the flesh in order to see God. – Isa. 41:17, John 7:39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Benefits of Prayer and Fasting
- The prayer and fasting platform empowers believers to see what God is saying.
- Fasting spiritually expedites answers to prayers. – Isa. 58:9
- Prayer and fasting is a covenant platform for the unleashing of fresh anointing.
- Vengeance is facilitated by God to give you comfort. – Ps. 68:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of David. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
- Power and authority have their mysteries in prayer and fasting.
- Your responsibility in these last days is to pray and fast to facilitate your dominion. – Luke 5:34, Acts 2:16-17
- Prayer and fasting empower believers to see what God is saying.
Profitable Approaches to Prayer and Fasting
- Confess and forsake your sins. – Prov. 28:13
- Refuse to be offended in God. – Matt. 11:6. Eccl. 3:11
- Engage your heart in seeking to please God and the interest of His Kingdom. – Ps. 34:10, Jer. 30:19-21
- Define your specific goals in this forthcoming fast. – Isa. 58:6-14 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
