Title: Faith Empowers Dominion
Your Situation does not determine your outcome but your faith that determines your lot.
Hab2:4 “Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.”
Faith is the central focus in the journey of believers. Faith is in degrees. Faith is in levels.
Matt 8:10 “When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”
We are given the same measure of Faith.
Faith has unlimited capacity for growth.
What is Faith?
- Faith is a continuous adventure for growth. Faith is a living force drawn from the living word to produce living proofs.
2 Cor 3:6 “Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”
The Bible is not just a book of letters but a book of life.
Faith can only be said to come alive in us when the word comes alive.
John 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
When faith is engaged, it is not a psychological force, it comes from what is alive.
Faith is not announced, Faith announces itself with proofs.
The evidence of genuine faith is living proof. When faith comes alive, proofs come alive. When a man/woman has faith in their lives, they will have living proofs.
Heb 4:12 “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Heb. 12:4 “Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.” - Faith is obeying God to prove that you believe him so as to commit him to confirm his word.
James 2:18-19 “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
Doing what God has said is proof that you believe. Faith cannot be said to be real until steps are taken in obedience.
Heb 11:7 “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.”
Faith is not a confession but a profession.
Heb 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)” - Faith is being fully persuaded of the truth until the truth triumphs.
Rom 4:17-21 “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
Don’t subject yourself to situations. You can frame your world by the word.
They are facts and truths, the truth is the reality and dominate the facts.
The word is superior to any contrary happening.
Heb 10:35-36 “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” - Faith is not waiting for God but putting Gods word to work so as to commit him to make good his words and promise.
Phil 2:12 “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
Faith is not waiting and watching but acting the word, behaving the word.
James 1:22-25 “22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.“
Everyone that is genuinely in Faith is working.
Jam. 1:22-23 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:”
Every word from God leaves work for man. Any message that leaves you with an expectation without responsibility is incomplete.
Before you dance the dance for the package you must work the work for the package. There is something to do to put faith to work.
What is Unique about Bible Faith?
- It taps into the power of God for our desired turnaround.
1 Cor 2:4-5 “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”
Luke 8:40-46 “And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.
41 And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:
42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.
43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.”
The only thing to touch power is your faith. Faith is the wire with which you connect to God’s power for the flow of virtue. It’s the level of your faith that determines the level of God’s power flowing in your direction.
When your faith is low, anything can dominate you but when you have a high capacity faith, nothing can dominate you.
Mat 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” - It establishes active partnership with the invisible thereby empowering us to do the impossible.
Heb 11:27 “By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.”
2 Cor 5:7 “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”
Faith is a partnership in which we walk with God. A man of faith is never alone he is always with God. When you find a man of faith you have found a man with God. What makes faith potent is that the individual is with God at all times.
Gen 5:24 “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” - Bible faith has the power to quench all fiery darts of the devil.
Eph 6:16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
When the shield of faith is put in place, every assault is brought to silence. A man or woman of faith has nothing to fear because he carries a shield that silences. A man of faith can not be defeated because they carry shield of Faith.
When a believer carries faith, it is the nuclear weapon of the Spirit. When you carry faith you dominate with ease in the journey of life. God is not a respecter of person, we can grow our faith to a nuclear level. - Faith turns all concerns into testimonies.
Matt 9:27 “And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.”
Matt. 9:27-29 “27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.
28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.”
Heb 11:2 “For by it elders obtained a good report.”
Whatever is testing you is waiting for your faith to turn up.
No matter what you are confronted with, all you need is for your faith to come alive and that situation will turnaround. From every bad situation, there can be a good report delivered. - Faith facilitates the fulfillment of prophecies.
1 Kings 8:15 “And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,”
Isa 53:1 “Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed”
Luke 1:45 “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
Faith is what secures the hand of God to perform that which is spoken. It is Faith that secures the fulfillment of God’s prophecy upon you.
When faith comes alive, prophecies are fulfilled. As prophecies go forth your faith must grow up. - Faith raises the dead back to life.
John 11:39-44 “Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.”
There is no closed case where faith is involved.
How Do you Develop your Faith?
Faith is not automatic. It must be cultivated, developed
- Through Prayer for Access to Revelation
Jer 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.“
Revelation is not the product of exertion, it’s an unveiling of the spirit that we call for on the altar of prayer.
Psa. 119:18 “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” - Through reading, studying and meditating.
1Tim 4:13-15 “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.“
Don’t just listen or read anything, read that is which profitable to you. Read the Word. Be conscious and committed about your engagement with the word.
When you’re studying you’re reading and writing your discoveries.
Faith must be consciously built, reading the word daily. - Through putting the word to work as a lifestyle.
Heb 5:14 “But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
We must learn to make decisions taken from the word we have learnt. We can only destroy our doubts by building our faith.
Where faith is at work, doubt cannot exist. If your faith is growing your doubts is dying.
Without faith it Is impossible to command dominion.
Altar Call
The starting point of faith is salvation, until a man Is born again he can not have faith, is at salvation you are given the measure of faith and at that measure begin to grow.
Therefore if you want to be born again rise on you feet.
